Life story
February 14, 2007
On the day we celebrate love, Valentine's Day, our beloved Brian peacefully went home to be with his first love, his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 14, 2007.

Brian was born in Newport News, VA, on August 7, 1967, to Carroll T. and Audrey L. Hunter. He graduated from Gloucester High School in 1985; attended George Mason University in 1986; obtained an A.S. in Business Administration from Thomas Nelson Community College in 2003; and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from St. Leo University in 2005. Brian was employed by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for 18 years, and filled the position of Systems Analyst.

In 1978, at the tender age of 11, Brian gave his heart to the Lord at Wayland Baptist Church in Matthews, VA. He was an avid student of the Bible and he loved to worship God. In 1985, he became a member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God and served faithfully in the worship & arts, and drama departments. In 1995, he joined Calvary Revival Church in Norfolk, VA, where he was a discipleship coordinator, usher, and choir member. In 2003, he returned to Bethel Temple and served faithfully on the choir and praise team.

Brian had many gifts and talents; among them were singing and web design, and many interests, including music and weightlifting. He had a special “gift” for being able to imitate just about anyone and for memorizing the entire dialogue of a movie. When it came to game night, everyone wanted Brian on their team, because he was a genius when it came to trivia. You never had to wonder what he was thinking or how he felt about something, because he was sure to let you know. His kind, loving, and giving nature was the source of the strong, longstanding friendships he had established throughout his life.

Sunday dinner at mom and dad’s, movie premieres, road trips, game nights, Super Bowl parties, the newest gospel hit, season finale cliffhangers, and going out to eat. These things will all go on, but the space left by Brian’s absence will be remembered by all those who knew him well and loved him dearly.

Those left to cherish Brian’s memory include parents, Carroll Sr. and Audrey Hunter; brother and best friend, Carroll T. Hunter, Jr. (Tommy); grandmother, Belle Carrington of Baltimore, MD; aunt, Delores Hunter of Gloucester, VA; uncle, Douglas (Faye) Hunter of Matthews, VA; uncle, Bernard (Sarah) Lewis of Baltimore, MD; uncle, Carroll Alphonso (Sandra) Hunter of Williamsburg, VA; and a host of relatives and friends.
